What did you all think of the CITV Channel at first when it launched on 11th March 2006, and when it was officially announced by ITV in late-2005?

By that time I was growing out of CITV, so I wasn't overly excited.
and the launch wasn't that exciting, they just ticked down the last few minutes and immediatley started with Holly and Stephen's Saturday Showdown.

I was quite excited about it, I was, like Jack, also growing out of CITV so thought that a 12 hour channel would be really good, and I had hoped like when CBBC launched their channel, that CITV would show some old programmes from the 90's and before but sadly they didn't. Too many repeats of Bratz and s*** like that was a dissappointment. Shame really, they could of had a winning formula if they took a leaf out of the launch of the CBBC channel.

I was a little excited at the time because CITV were finally launching their own digital channel. The only thing I liked about it was the repeats of some old shows like Zzzap!, Grizzly Tales, Harry & The Wrinklies, Sooty Heights, Sir Gadabout and The Adventures of Paddington Bear.
I think they should of launched it a good few years earlier, when they had in-vision presenters and more home-grown programmes being made than they do today.

I think if they had launched the channel earlier when they had in-vision continuity presenters then we may still have had presenters today, most probably it would be Toonattik's Jamie Rickers and Anna Williamson, I would expect.
