CITV in the 1990's wasn't complete without the voice of Steve Ryde, who also played Tatty Bogle in Wizadora!
He lasted a good while, 1993-1998, alot longer than some presenters!

Yes the Steve Ryde era was pretty good, in the 90's you could do out of vision and still look good!
All the different idents and animations were good too, could definitley tell it was the work of Central ;D
Oh and not forgetting the other Steve Ryder presenters!, Ruskman, Abacat and Cheesy!

Although I was annoyed at the time CITV dropped in-vision presenters, looking back, the Steve Ryde presentation era was quite imaginative, inventive and good fun.
You can tell the influence and impact that era has had on children's TV presentation on all channels ever since.

Steve Ryde stayed on as a producer when they reverted back to in-vision with Stephen and Danielle. I think he left about 2000-2001, when the downfall started.
Look at what he's done since moving to CBBC as a producer, he's done wonders for it. Some of the greatest CBBC shows from the last 10 years, "Dick and Dom", "Chute" etc have all been produced by him.
What CITV needs to do is to coax him back, he's just what they need right now. The Steve Ryde era for me was the best, I also liked the Tommy Boyd era too and Stephen and Danielle of course. But the Ryde era was so much more inventive, wacky and funny, it had such creativity. I always used to love how they used clips from other programs and worked them in to the links.
I also (of course) loved him in Wizadora too.
This is a perfect example on how his era was so creative.
