Zzzap!

I loved Zzzap!, it was unique and there will never be another show like it. The earlier series were the best with Smart Arty and who could forget Series 1 (my favourite) with Tricky Dicky. He had the best music, the Zzzap! music was one of the soundtrack's to my childhood. They should release it all on CD, I'd certainly buy it and a DVD release of Zzzap! is long overdue.

I never cared much for Minnie the Magician, and the replacement Daisy (Claire Macauley) was nowhere near as good as Deborah McCallum. Also Series 10 was a bit of a disappointment, when they got rid of the giant comic and introduced CGI effects, it just wasn't the same.

Me and a few members here are big Zzzap! fans and we used to talk about it a lot.

We're also probably responsible for most of the clips on youtube and google video.

but yes this was my most favourite show and I never missed it, got home to watch it every week, was a good show, The last good series was series 8 in my opinion, ok they had Minnie but the jokes were still good and it wasn't all cheap and tacky CGI

Zzzap! was fantastic, it's just a shame the classic episodes haven't been repeated since 2003. The golden age was (Series 1-7) imo.

I applaud you for putting the YouTube clips up, it's great that someone is keeping the memory of the show alive and well.

Also I don't know if you knew about this but Zzzap! has it's own Wiki. I don't know who created it, it's a bit basic at the moment but with some fleshing out and a full detailed description of each series and episode. It could become the ultimate Zzzap! resource. Anyone can modify it, today I fleshed out the Main Page and the sections on Richard Waites, Tricky Dicky and Cuthbert Lilly. I'm going to do some more to it soon.

Maybe a lot of the fans on here could help me out with it.

A random vague memory came back to me today.

I remember a Zzzap! advert where the giant comic lands in the middle of the CITV town, it shown some clips from Zzzap! and then at the end you had Smart Arty standing outisde the giant comic blowing kisses.

Anyone remember it?

I can't believe that today is exactly ten years ago since the final ever episode of Zzzap! aired on CITV!
