Does anyone know what series would have been on CITV on a Friday afternoon at 3.55 around November 1998? If it helps, most of the programmes on a typical Friday are mentioned in this clip (which I've been able to date to Thursday 12th November 1998): and this clip from the start until 5:05: Or, if you aren't bothered with watching the clips, the Friday schedule went along the lines of: 3.45 Captain Pugwash 3.55 4.20 Fun House 4.50 The Top 10 of Everything Cheers in advance for any help. EDIT: Linked to the wrong set of clips on YT, d'oh.

Indeed it was! According to the BFI database, it was Bernard's Watch, the episode was "Time Tables" and it was on at 4.05; Captain Pugwash was on for 20 minutes rather than 10 minutes. Cheers Robert/Halfbrick!

I think BFI may be slightly wrong as the episode that actually went out was 'Gnome Time' as seen in the following video. Also it was from that same week as the guest presenter 'Vern' as seen in the previous clip, was still presenting. He was filling in for Stephen who was away on holiday that week.
And your welcome Col ;D

The relief presenter covering for Stephen is Bryn Musselwhite, and according to my research, he is now a motorsport journalist.
Regarding the date, I believe it's 12th November 1998 as Danielle and Bryn mention the episode of The Worst Witch that day was the first of a two-part story, and based on the plot details for the episode shown that day on iMDb ("A Mean Hallowe'en"), I assumed that was the right episode.
I used iMDb as the plot descriptions on the BFI online database are vague and didn't indicate which episodes in the first series were the two-parter. I could be wrong, though.
Or maybe CITV showed that series of Bernard's Watch in the wrong order? Hmm, another mystery.

"A Mean Halloween" was a two-part story which the episode after was "Double, Double Toil and Troube". But IMDB is not as acurate as the BFI online, so maybe you could try contacting them and see if they can be of any assistance.
